Ministry's Purpose:
To encourage Hew Hope members to continue pursuing the benefits of education, information literacy and lifelong learning.
Whom does this ministry serve?
The New Hope family and the community.
Main Activities:
- Monitor the R. W. Hamilton Educational Fund and the J. V. Williams Memorial Scholarship Fund to assist New Hope Members furthering their education beyond high school
- Sponsor activities to promote academic achievement: Summer Camp; Algebra Jump Start; Campau School CK Tutoring and individual tutoring during the school year; computer lab for learning support; workshops for students and parents: Back-to-school, careers, test taking, financial aid, training for the SAT/ACT and other resources to help students stay focused on completing their education.
- Provide short-term enrichment activities for learning and fellowship for all ages such as computer classes and others based upon interests and needs.
- Work jointly with Youth Ministry leaders and with other ministries as appropriate.
Meeting times:
Meetings are held monthly on the 1st Saturday at 9:30 a.m.
