New Member Ministry

The New Members Ministry endeavors to greet and orientate new members in the doctrines of the Church body of Christ with Christian love, enthusiasm, knowledge, and excellence. Our purpose is- "To prepare God’s People for works of service, so that the Body of Christ may be built up”. Ephesians 4:12

Ministry's Purpose:

New Member Ministry exists to help new members develop a closer relationship with God. This is accomplished as we REACH all New Members of New Hope and help them CONNECT with other Christians. In turn, they will GROW in their faith, and we will CHALLENGE that growth as they DISCOVER their ministry and HONOR God with their life!

Main Activities:

  • Teach and instruct during the Sunday School hour a series of four foundational classes
  • Act as a resource when a new member has questions

Meeting times:

New Member classes are taught 1st through 4th Sunday of every month from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.  If you are interested in learning more about the classes taught, click here.

The New Member Ministry Team meets every 5th Sunday at 9:00 am.

How does a person become a worker in the ministry?

Once you have completed New Members Orientation, you simply need to have an interest in sharing and presenting God's word to new believers. You can express this interest to anyone in the NMO ministry and make arrangements to "sit-in" on any of the New Member classes.  You may also click here or call (616) 452-4278 to contact the church office.
